Today I noticed a debit card item from IM GAMED, LLC for $4.89, that I did not recognize. Of course, when I called the phone number provided I got a voice message and the mailbox was full. When I called my bank they immediately sent me to the fraud and investigations department, said that they would research and refund the amount, and that since these folks had my debit card info they would have to suspend my check card (how inconvenient!) and issue another one to me. So, I'm 5 to 7 days without automated access to funds, and more inconvenient, I'll have to redo all of my automatic withdrawals, but I figure if they took $4.89 this time, it will be $489 next time! I encourage people to go through the inconvenience of setting up new banking info if this happens to you because the terrorists (yes, this is financial terrorism, make no mistake!) who do this are counting you to let it go because "it's too much trouble." Collectively, when we do not take a stand against this behavior we not only support their thievery but encourage others to get rich off of us, $4.89 at a time!!
