I rec'd an e-mail asking if i was still interested in being a mystery shopper. I replied yes and rec'd another e-mail stating that i would be on as a probationary shopper with twq clients, walmart and western union. Two ddays later i rec'd priority mail with a check for $2970.90. Iwas to deposit this check and keep $300.00 for my shopping these two businesses. I was then instructed to mail checks of $1325.25 to twq qther people. Seemed fishy. I called the bank that the cashiers check was drawn on and was told that the check was bogus. For two days i rec'd e-mail telling me to do my shopping and deposit my check i failed to mention that the two checks that i was to mail was to be don e with western union. I kept gettig e-mail to respond to the senders e-mails. I did noy reply. On saturday 5/19 i rec'd another check for $1900.00. It was a bogus money order. Did not reply to e-mail;s instructing me what to do with the money. All e-mail and checksthat imarkrd void on. Om monday5/21 irec'd another proirity mail.in it was a postal money order for $960.00. I went the post office and was told the postal money order wasbogus. I turned over cpoies of all e-mails and checks to usps postal fraud inspector. I was fortunate enough that i didn't lose any monies but this certainly gives the real mystery shoppers org a bad name. I know they are a good org., but some bad people are sullying their name.
