On March 7th a woman named Allison called me at work, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and claimed we had agreed 2 years ago to advertising on yellowpagesonline.com and now owed $599.95 and they would send us a bill. They recorded parts of the conversation, they kept me on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get me to say what they wanted. I finally did but told them it was a lie and that we would not pay any bill. I also explained repeatedly that I was not authorized to accept any billing. I checked with the Pastor, the Finance committee, the church trustees and the treasurer, and no one had heard of this "swervice" and no one ever okayed it.
On May 15th we received a bill for $599.95. We will not be paying it, no phone company gives you service then sends a bill after the fact, not even for 1 month nevertheless 2 years. The account nhumber on the bill is 22183094. I am sending them a letter denying them payment and expect them to object.
