I worked at NuSkin corporate in Provo UT for about a month. I was hired to take the foreign language calls and had to go through 3 weeks of training. During that training I learned all about NuSkin's products and their multi level marketing tactics. They sell an array of specail face creams that will magically make you look younger that run about $140 per bottle (a small bottle). These products are not patented nor proven to work. As NuSkin call center reps it was our job to take the orders from the people that are signed up to sell NuSkin to consumers. We were required to upsell a large percentage of sales per month or would be fired on the spot. Many NuSkin customer service reps misrepresent the products in order to sell more, and keep from being fired. There are several people who have used the products long term without many results. Nuskin also sells a variety of creams and beauty products, all of which are no better than drug store lotion. The products are thin and really don't do much. Its all about packaging and sales tactics at NuSkin. They also sell this special juice that is guaranteed to heighen your body's corotiniods which supposedly cures cancer. This juice runs about $45 for 2 bottles and is 'patent pending'. The pharmanex company sells a special corotiniod machine that, if you put your finger inthe machine, shows you how low your bodies antioxidents are. Then when you drink the juice, that number magically becomes higher. People are convinced by reps that they must by this machine or no one will want to buy the special juice. The machine runs at about $1,000.
In addition to having bad products that dont' work and are misrepresented, they do shady business among their own employees. Many an employee have gone missing from NuSkin one day without anyone hearing another word from them. When I was hired the staff promied me that I could have the Christmas holiday off because I am a student. Then a few weeks later when It came time to schedule the time off, I was told that I could not have the time off because I was a new employee. When I mentioned the interview and the supervisor that said I could have the time off, the scheduler said that it didn't matter. No new employees get time off. They alsof force all of their employees to work 30 hrs a week, thus making people who need full time work pick up shifts to get the full time without getting any company benefits.
After rearranging my whole holiday plans for NuSkin, they pulled me into their offcie and threatened to fire me becuase I kept 'trying to push company policy' with my time off, even though I was always polite and simply just brought up the time off that they said I could have when I accepted the job.
Dont' work for NuSkin. Don't buy from NuSkin. They don't care about their consumers or their employees.
