Switched from DISH to DIRECT TV (basic cable only) and the invoive for the last two months has been wrong. I was quoted $51.99 TOTAL INC TAXES. I asked the salesman how he new what the taxes would be, and he stated he had a chart in front of him to calculate that and that the total bill would be $51.99. I was a little concerned with that but gave him the benefit of the doubt seeing as how he represented a high powered communications co. Well the bill has never been that amount. Secondly, the tech never connected us to the internet, and one of the selling points was On Demand (or something similar to Netflix) so I didn't need to order Netflix. This never happened.
Third, the salesman stated he needed $8.04 THAT NIGHT to hold this special deal, so I paid it and he set us up with auto bill pay every month which was never mentioned in the conversation. I never do auto bill pay with any company. If I choose to change this they will charge me $10.00 a month. None of this even came up in the oroginal conversation. I feel I should be able to cancel this service with no penalties, fees or contractual issues.
