Booked for a chimney cleaning at $79. He did not have proper equipment (a shop vac and what looked like a backpack vacuum, filled with chemicals). Upsold and said a chimney cap blew off in the winter / we should replace. He said he used our ladder to gain access to the roof. We later tested the ladder in the area he said he gained access, and there was no way (he would have had to be 5' taller). Issued a faulty invoice to a company called "My Chimney Guy". Called the phone number listed on the invoice; he said there was no Rob there, we were the second customer in 3-days to call him re: these fraudulent invoices. He told me the scammer's name is Robert Reimer / that I should look him up on the internet. Poor guy with his company identity stolen. He reported with the FBI, and we did the same. Please look up this guy with the word "scam" in Google. It's all there. He changes his company name and contact details as people catch-up with him. His previous number was (847) 220-7830, previously "A Knight Chimney Service" and "The Chimney Air Duct Cleaning Company". He is now at http://mysafechimney.com/, (630) 589-6217.
