DC Chamber Of Commerce & Mollie Haines & Barbara B Lang ripoff liar, dishonest, illegal termination, robbed of 401K, benefits stolen

Mollie Haines, VP, Marketing & Sales at the DC Chamber of Commerce and formerly of the Good Will Industries, a woman who has created an almost unbearably hostile workplace since she went to work there several months ago, lied about me and then had me fired without any warning.

She wrote part of a scenario on paper without explanation and took this piece of garbage to Barbara B. Lang, Chamber president, insisting that I be terminated immediately. Mollie Haines harrassed and intimidated me on two prior occasions and at those instances she made disparaging remarks about the way the tourism section was being run, though she had no knowledge of the operation.

I reported this harrassment to my supervisor, Sue Porter who made note of the incidents. This behavior is grounds for immediate termination according to the DC Chamber rules. After I spoke up about her harrassment, suddenly I was ripped off by Mollie Haines contrived lie.

I had gone to the bank to cash my paycheck on a very busy workday. I had tried to leave at 1:10 P.M. On that day, but was swamped with requests and found that I had to return to my desk to finish a task. I did not actually leave until almost 1:30 P.M. When I finally got to the bank, the teller made an error in the transaction which resulted in my having to spend most of my lunch hour in the bank while they got it sorted.

On the day in question Mollie Haines states that she saw me walking toward the Chamber at 2:50 pm with a woman. That is not true because I returned to the Chamber alone. The woman seen earlier was my daughter, who was at the Post Office at that time and I have Post Office witnesses and time stamped receipts to prove it.

Mollie Haines was seen by my witness returning to the Chamber at about 1:25 P.M.in the company of Barbara Langs assistant. This was about 3 minutes before I left for the second time. The receptionist, Jeanette Smith can attest to the fact that I left the Chamber at 1:10P.M. But returned about one minute later and went back to my desk for almost 20 minutes. Mollie Haines and Barbara Langs' assistant were observed with take out food bags and conversing as they were seen entering the Chamber at about 1:25.

I noticed from the sign in sheet that Barbara Lang's assistant did not sign in and out at all on that day although she left the office. This leads me to a point of confusion about just who the rules apply to.

Mollie Haines further states that she saw me walking along K street towards 15th street. This is simply not true because on that particular day I went to the main branch of my bank and walked down 14th street to H street. The time stamped on my bank receipt was 1:32 P.M., so if she was sitting eating in the park and saw me, it is impossible for her to have signed in at 1:25P.M. Unless she ran back out of the office and sat in the park.

The bank teller and manager as well as the cameras at the bank can attest to my time of arrival there. Even though the time on the sheet was not corrected by me, the actual time that I was out of the office amounted to an hour and twenty minutes and that portion of time is acurately reflected on the sign in sheet. These are the true facts and they can be substansiated.

When I returned to the office on that day I was upset and flustered about the bank error. I immediately advised my supervisor, Sue Porter and explained to her why I was out of the office a little longer than my usual.

I was dedicated to providing assistance and information to the visitors to our Nations Capitol and donated many additional hours of time to the DC Chamber. During heavy tourism periods, I never took more than 15 or 20 minutes for a lunch break. Many days I ate at my desk and only took a 10 minute break, yet this one oversite was used by Mollie Haines to deprive me of my job, my health benefits and probably my home and my life. I am 58 years old, and while I am looking for work, it is a very slim chance that I will find anything before my very small unemployment allotment runs out. I may loose my apartment very soon.

When I was fired with no warning I was also denied any severance pay causing me to immediately fall behind in my rent payments. Other benefits that we had at the Chamber, specifically, Metrocheck and MAMSI Healthcare had already been removed. I was also robbed of a 401 K because when Barbara Lang doublecrossed her way into the DC Chamber two years ago, with it's huge 180,000.00 a year salary, I had been trying to get them to straighten out my 401K deductions. Thought I tried repeatedly, no one ever gave me one bit of assistance in righting the errors, so consequently when I was pushed out, I had practically no money accumulated.

Though I made three requests, I was given no formal documentation about my termination. Just a note on plain paper accusing me of falsifying company documents (the sign-in sheet which is ignored by some). The fact that I made an error of a few minutes on the sign in sheet, which was not really an error because the time that I was out of the office was correctly reflected, is patently ridiculous. Their charge makes me sound like some kind of criminal.in addition there is no clock of any kind at the sign in sheet area.

Even the caseworker at the unemployment compensation office could not believe this. But when a person is out to destroy you and when that person has the upper hand, there is very little that can be done to protect oneself. One way or another, by hook or by crook, the devil will seem to prevail.

I am well educated and have worked hard all my life only to be ripped off of everything by greedy, spiteful, small-minded charlatans.
