I received an e-mail from my Avon website saying that I had a new customer. They wanted to know how to order Avon through me. I explained how to, and got the response I have attached. I found out through this website that the exact same e-mail had been sent to other Avon Reps! Below is the message I received.

I really appreciate your prompt response to my inquiry. I'm the Manager of one magnificent model incorporation Chicago, IL. We will be coming down to your city by next month for a photo shoot. I would need you to get the under listed avon products for me. The quantity needed for each of the products is in bracket at the front of item number for each product.

Get back to me with the total cost and sale's tax that I will pay for the products. Also, with the name and mailing address you want your payment mailed to so I can instruct the Sponsor to prepare your payment (You should note that courier service does n 't mail to P.O. Box.) and your phone number so I can reach out to you in case of any emergency. Please get back to me as soon as possible so I can continue with the order. I would instruct the project sponsor to send you the payment in either money order or certified check which you can cash instantly at your bank. We would be in your city soon for a photo shoot so our crew would pick up the items themselves but I only want you to have the funds in advance so you can get the ordered product read. Please send the quotations and details needed to send your payment asap.

This person was basically trying to order a large amount of products from me and never pay for it! Please take care of this ASAP before others get scammed!
