I am a nanny and thought a real family had hired me. They asked me to purchase some things for their children before I met them. They sent a check to reimburse me, but the check was for more, so they asked me to use Western Union to send back the difference. They took $1500.00 of my money and Western Union kept $125 of that! Western Union knows about these scams, but they don't tell their customers, so they are just as at fault as these scammers. I know I shouldn't have fallen for this. I was naive. But now I'm angry and want Western Union to help protect their customers.
