Simply cottage cheese - kraft simply cottage cheese 4%

I purchased $100 worth of groceries at the san diego national city location walmart and one of the items purchased was a tub of the Kraft simply cottage cheese 4% which has an expiration date of oct 20th. When I got home I had some and realized from the first spoonful I had swallowed that it was rancid, Needless to say I was in the restroom within 2 or 3 hours after where I pretty much stayed through the evening. I have saved the cottage cheese in the refridgerator to be returned to walmart and todays date is sept. 29th I opened the lid and see dark blotches of green so now it will sit outside before I return it tomorrow!
