B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review: B&B Security Group LLC, Credible or Not?

I'm a former US Marine and National Guardsman, Jerry, who was looking for employment as a security guard. To leverage my efforts of obtaining employment I signed up through careerbuilder.com, fedshirevets. Gov, usajobs. Gov and many other sites in order for me to get job announcements; therefore, believing BB Security Group was legitimate and didn't lead me to question anything. This could be part of BB Security Group's tactic into luring innocent job seeking individuals like you and me, especially during this economy. Please let everyone know about this company whether or not you want to become a security guard in New York or not! I would appreciate your concern! Furthermore, I received BB Security Group recommendation through Career Builder. Here is a picture inside my email account and a picture of what it looked like when I clicked on the third link within my email: "DO YOU WANT TO EARN UP TO $750 PER WEEK AS A SECURITY OFFICER?". The contact info on that email from Career Builder was Ms Porter (as you will see on the picture on the right - Ms Porter also happens to be the "HR" - "Human Resources" rep) with phone number 347-206-1925. I never thought a place like Career Builder would harbor such agencies. This is, BB Security Group Scam Review, a site dedicated to those who are simply looking to find a job as a security guard or simply wanting to become a security guard to make money part time as a college student. This Review will be exposing their scamming practices so you don't go through the troubles. The company's "name" is BB Security Group and their address is 250 West 49th Street and they are in suite 700 in Manhattan, New York - Train E gets there and stops right across the street so you can beware and know that we are in the same page here. There is another website that harbors their stupidity: Simplyhired.com - And I'm sure there are other websites that harbor them. But take a close look at this picture too please tell me that this doesn't look really suspicious to you? Aren't they supposed to be a security guard company? Why are they offering position as from desk attendants and other positions other than Security Officers?:

B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review: TWO THINGS I DIDN'T PICK UP AT FIRST

Firstly, they do not have an official office number - all their contact numbers are cell phone numbers. For example, "Mr Cook" is a person/manager at BB Security who never mentioned his first name and is the person who interviewed me and his number is 347-893-1927 (you can test it out and ask that you would like to seek a security guard position and you'll see they will ask you to pay 80 dollars cash the same day you are to come in) This is the first sign I should have picked up this was all a scam. Secondly their website, which is supposed to be www.bbsecuritygroup.com, is parked on GoDaddy's registrar - this basically means someone owns this domain name; however, there is no information or details to display anything about security guard employment or operating business. If you were to go to www.bbsecuritygroup.com you will see GoDaddy's website not a security guard website. Please do your research before you make a decision on anything you do in life for this matter. Don't let this become a frustration as it did for me.

Lastly, I would like you to keep in mind that I didn't bother to look this company up since I had been recommended it from Career Builder. Everything else seemed legit up to this point since I did pay 75 dollars to get my security guard license in 2005. I imagined that's why my renewal would cost which is why the 80 dollars made sense to me at the time. I hope this B&B Security Group Scam Review deters a lot of people from making the mistake I have done - please refer your friends and family about this, especially if you live in New York, Manhattan.

B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review: Realizing the Breakdown was a Scam!

Not only did Mr Cook ever mentioned his first name but he was wearing a suit with sneakers on which I noticed after I had paid. Other known scamers Max with phone number 347-220-7452 and Ms Acosta 347-367-7172 and there many more than work there - at least a dozen. All "interviewers" are well trained to suck your money out of your wallet. I was strongly encouraged to create this B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review website because we are all upset on how these individuals went after our money using high pressure tactics. They show three different ways you can make 10-12 dollars an hour and 12-14 and 14-16 dollars an hour. "Mr Cook" explained to me that I needed to have 8 hours guard license 16 guard license and Fireguard License and a anti terrorism training if I wanted to get paid 14-16 dollars the price was $699. This was the highest of the three suggestions. This was the breakdown: The first package was to pay $399 for an hourly rate of 10-12/hr with basic 8 hour pre-assignment guard training and 16 OJT (on the job training), the second package was $499 which was for the 8 hour pre-assignment and 16 hour OJT and Fireguard for an hourly rate of 12-14/hr and of course I picked the $699 package with an hourly rate of 14-16/hr (supposedly), I fell right for it, since its better than getting 10-12 dollars - the logic is irrefutable. They also promise you'll have your uniform as soon as your done training so you can start working the following Monday.

November 28th I paid $699 and received my first training: the anti terrorism training then December 1st 2011 I recieved the fireguard training. After each training they give a test which is also phony because the instructor leaves the class setting leaving us to "take the test". The instructor comes back in and "corrects" the tests and miraculously we all passed and there was no failures. Naturally, there would be some that would fail but lets say that everyone did pass, great, BUT I was one of four students sitting in the front who saw that the instructor had NO answer key in which to correct our exams. Please keep in mind that both of these classes the instructor didn't have an answer key to correct the tests.

B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review: Condition of Location and Applicants

Suite 700 in 250 West 49th Street where B&B Security Group is located is generally empty. There are chairs in the "waiting" areas of the Suite. The applicants that come in ARE ALL "hired" because they are all going through training when the applicant pays into their lies. No applicant is turned away because they are only there to send people to "training" in order to get them "hired". They do not have much furniture; it seems as if they are set up so they can leave at any moments notice. All three rooms where they "interview" applicants also simply have a desk and nothing else. Again, I didn't expect to be recommended by Career Builder to a place like this.in the end it was very deceiving to have a "interviewing" and "hiring" and training process which is why I have created this B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review.

B&B Security Group LLC Scam Review: After completion of all Training, the Surprises

This is why I wanted to expose this "company" in B&B Secruity Group LLC Scam Review because all I want to do is simply stop them from scamming others. They have, and are still, scamming by the dozens EVERYDAY from 100 dollars to 3000 dollars promising and guaranteeing employment as security guard only to find out that we can find jobs else where on our own because they refer us, similar to what a friend does when he/she knows there is a place that is hiring. They claim to have connections with well known security companies BUT they don't. They simply refer people to security guard companies the same way a friend would - in other words they have no relationship with any companies and act on their own scamming people everyday for their hard earned money! Not to mention the least, the "contract" which clearly states Refund Policy says as following "For all courses that B&B Security Group LLC offers there is a $100 non-refundable training fee due at the time of registration and reservation of a class seat. This fee also includes all deposits made under $100. Student also understands and agrees that after the start of the training ALL monies paid are non refundable. Tuition refund requests must be made in person and in writing." In other words those of us to signed this "contract" took a leap of faith in order to obtain our jobs and were screwed because there will be no refunds once we have begun or completed our "training". The "contract" is not signed by Mr Cook, it is printed. After the fact, there was no job waiting at the end of training and no uniform as promised. They simply said we'll "you'll get your uniform when you get hired at the places we are going to tell you to go to" - Outraged, I immediately thought about how I officially have been scammed when others during "uniform" day felt and expressed the same way I did: deceived and robbed. Then as we went to "get hired" to the locations they some of us to go to, such as Cambridgesecurities, International Protection services and Affinity, there was an application to fill out and these companies had NO clue who was B&B or why they sent us because they clearly stated they had no affiliation with B&B Security Group LLC or its applicants. Finally, I decided to call some other colleagues that went through the training and "hiring" process with me and they expressed they felt the same way. Currently I'm filing a dispute with my credit card company because I don't believe they should have not one sent of my money! You should do the same if you used a credit card. If you didn't use a credit card then I am deeply sorry, you have lost your money, especially if it was cash.
