I received a check for $3,980.00, and according to the letter needed to call
1-900-598-3414 before depositing said check. When I called, I was told to call back once I deposit the check. The letter arrived in a Costco Wholesale envelope. I was also informed that on Monday I would be given the tax persons phone number to call to remit the $1995.00 (taxes on said winnings of $150,000.00). I decided not to take any action, as I felt it was a scam from the beginning, and someone was just trying to get my bank information. Be warned, this is a scam. No one should have to pay anything up front until they receive their winni9ngs. Young and old alike beware...
