Consumer Report

A young man (Michael) came to the door saying he played baseball for the local American Legion baseball team. He stated he was selling magazines for the troops overseas. He said he lived around the corner and his father, a Navy sailor, was moving out of the area in August. Being a veteran, I wanted to help even with doubts and somehow agreed to donate $59.00. When I questioned the cost, Michael said it would cover ten subscriptions for ten troops. He volunteered to come back and wash my house windows and car but I declined. Of course, I should know better. I fell for it and today did some research on the company to find out as I suspected, this is a scam. On top of it, the SOB ate some fresh cookies my wife had baked.
