My wife, a resident alien of the USA and a citizen of the Philippines, has been preparing to apply for U.S. Citizenship while I am deployed to Afghanistan. She knew she would have to pay certain fees to initiate the process, and thought she was accessing the actual USCIS website. She completed online forms and submitted credit card information to cover the $150.00 fee to begin processing. This website should not be allowed to include USCIS in their address, as it is misleading if you are not completely attentive. There is nothing they can provide that a prospective citizen cannot do for themselves by going to the actual government website.
