I have been using the Poulsbo Walmart Pharmacy for years but during this last year I have had lots of trouble filling RX's. When my baby came down with a bad cold and formed an ear infection the doctor called in antibotics for him. My husband was going to pick it up after he got off work but they told him it wasn't ready yet. After 45min. He went back to pick it up and the staff told him that they were sorry they didn't have any left and to call the next morning. My husband was angry because they didn't tell him they were out of it when he first checked on it. We called the doctor on call and she rushed to call another antibotic in. Pharmacy did not have that one ready in time and told us to pick it up next morning. My poor son was up all night miserable. I was there first thing at the pharmacy to pick up his med the next morning. Still didn't have it done! Eventually that morning I got the med. And talked to the staff and asked what had happened. Told them that trying to get Rx's there was becoming a nightmare and I was upset that my son had suffered. They told me that Walmart had cut down there hours and they were working very short staffed because of it. She told me to call 1800-walmart and put in a complaint. I did talked to a very unconcerned customer service women and never got a call back.
The next day my son developed a second ear infection and pnemonia. He was one sick kid and I feel if we had been able to start him on antibotics the first night he wouldn't have developed the complications he did. My son suffered and I'm angry!!! I am switching pharmacy's and I give warning to other parents out there. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I watched my baby go through.
