We were in trouble with our mortgage loan. I had lost my job the year before, and had requested through my lender a loan modification - the lender would not give a loan mod. I started looking online for someone who could represent us. Christian Troy called and said that he was contacting us through our inquiry. We emailed him several forms - previous 2 years tax returns, previous 2 months bank statements, and mortgage statements. Once he had our bank statements, he knew how much we had in checking. I had won a small law suit, so we had a little bit in the bank. He told us that he had called our mortgage lender, and that we qualified for the loan modification. Through a series of wire transfers and bank deposits, he had drained us of close to $18,000. We did not get our loan modified. We have been in touch with the FBI and our local sheriff's department - I strongly urge anyone else who has been scammed to do the same. That will encourage law enforcement to follow-up on. That's the only way to stop this thief. FYI - Christian Troy is just an alias.
