My brother, Ricky Jude lived in an apartment building. He was hospitalized on Aug. 1st and wasn't released until Oct. 13th. I started calling Lightyear on the 3rd of Sept. To have his phone service transferred to the new apartment. It wasn't hooked up on 1st of Oct. So I called them again. They promised me his phone would be working. When we arrived on Oct. 13th; we had no phone. Ricky had a bypass in his left side and his right leg was amputated. We could only stay 2 days because we didn't have contact with Home Health, Kings Daughters Rehab Center, his pharmacy, medical supplies, etc. So he had to go to a nursing home. I called them and told them to forget it for now and they assured me 2 months in a row that he would have NO balance since all this was not his fault. I sent them a letter last month hoping it would take care of it. There was no balance on the phone as I paid all outstanding fees. Now they are trying to charge him for a phone service that he never had. I am Ricky's POA and sister. My name is Phyllis Pack. I hope this can be resolved because he only receives SSI and there is no extra money to pay for things we never had.
