On February 7, I told my wife I wanted to check our credit score, and we found Scoresense, a online site that offered it for $1.00. We paid with our credit card, got the score numbers, and knew the $1.00 would charged on our credit card. When the statement arrived on the 20th of February, they had charged an additional, $29.95 for a membership fee. I called Scoresense, and was told they would review the issue and contact us in three days.
I received a email on Feb. 24, stating they could not remove the charge. I explained I was 83 years old, and on a limited income. That didn't seem to matter to them, so I called my credit card company. The rep called Scoresense and spoke with their rep, and she said she was sorry, but the charges were due. This is a scam, and I want everyone to be aware of reading the fine print.
Had they posted the extra membership in huge flashing letters like the $1.00 offer, I never would have continued my search. I contacted the BBB in Dalas, Texas, and they have many complaints against Scoresense, including mine. You can file a complaint with them, if you choose to do so. Being older and trusting, is not a good thing anymore. I got scammed, but will be more aware from now on. Thanks for posting my complaint. An old fool...
