I looked at doing a free trial of a mangosteen product after a pop up appeared on a website I was using; I would only be charged postage. This was on 6th February. I was charged £3.03 ($4.65) twice. No products appeared and as I recall, BEFORE I clicked on the "I agree" at the end of the promotional page, I pressed the CANCEL button as I thought that the whole thing seemed suspicious. However, having looked at my paper bank statements this month, not only has the company managed to take £3.03 twice from my account (one is to advmetabill rather than extmangobill) but they have also debited two payments on February 21st and February 23rd. I have received no goods from them at all, no email, no correcpondance, there is nothing I can see in my browsing history that indicates that I subscribed to this, and my bank cannot stop forthcoming payments that they will undoubtedly take from going out unless I close the account!
