Overly Priced Above Ground Pool - Deluxe Package 24' Round Pool

This is my complaint filed with the Alabama Attorney General: I had an above ground pool company, Blue World Pools, Inc. To install an overly priced above ground pool on my property June 2nd 2012. When the city of Evergreen read my electric meter after about 4 weeks of the installation, the meter reader, Bobby questioned me about it. He stated that there was not a permit to have the pool installed. The meter reader got a copy of my pool contract and took it back to his office and notified the State of Alabama and found that the pool company had no Alabama State General Contractors License. I am afraid this company is a scam and feel that myself and my husband were highly pressured into buying this pool that we didn't even want. The pool company talked us out of the Oval Econoline Pool that we initially wanted saying we would have to get all the permits and have a life insurance policy worth $300,000.00 plus tons of other requirements on our part to purchase this pool. We were forced into buying their 27' Round Midline Pool and were told that if we went with this option we would not have anything to do on our part, that all permits were included in this package. The initial price of the Midline pool started out at $25,000.00 and after the salesman contacted his boss via phone multiple times they decreased the price down to $10,471.00. We signed a contract for the Midline Pool and was told that the finance office would call us within a week to give us our financing information with the worst case scenario of finance charges at 29%, but with my credit rating of 680 we wouldn't have to worry about that. When my husband contacted the vice president into cancelling the contract, he pressured him into accepting the Deluxe Package with smaller monthly payments. A lady named Summer called us back and had us to verify with the finance manager into upgrading to their Deluxe Package of a 24' Round Classic Pool. The purchase price was $15,810.48 and that this pool would be a lifetime guarantee. My APR is 15.9% and Finance Charge is $16,624.21. We paid $400 down and had to pay $600.00 in cash to the installer when they came out. The amount financed is $14,810.48. I have to make 132 payments in the amount of $238.14 and the final amount I would have paid for this pool after making all payments is $32,434.48. Also my husband and I had to sign a lien on our property to Blue World Pools, Inc. That if we missed a payment we had to pay the loan in full. The only acceptable payment is a bank draft. I did not check this company out with the Better Business Bureau before I signed the contract and now I'm regretting that I didn't. I am not attempting to get something for nothing. I just need to know if there is anything I can do to get out of paying this expensive price for this above ground pool and pay for what it's worth? At this price I could have had an inground pool installed, but the reason we didn't opt for an inground pool is because we knew we couldn't afford it. I have my entire contract that I signed with Blue World Pools, Inc. Also the cancelled check for my down payment and a copy of the $600.00 money order.
Thank You
