I got a 'text' message from a phone number (917-239-7645) stating the following: CREDIT UNION CENTER NOTICE: your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 309-277-8611. I didn't do anything with this last night when the message came in, but this morning I went to www.whitepages.com and plugged in the 309 area code number in the 'reverse find' area to see what it was and it came up with it being a land line number, but I'd have to pay $1.99 to find out the name of the business. I did not do that and then plugged in the 917 area code number and it came back with a cell phone number in New York/Brooklyn area. I know this was a way for them to find out account numbers/S.S. Number and have no clue what will happen now that I've put it here, but I know it has to be a SCAM!!
