Their issue, my $300 loss - Awful Customer Service

How can I receive what DirecTV offered me? I attempted to order service on 10/16 as a referral. When no one showed for my installation on 10/21, I called. George informed me that my ordered was placed with Chris, a rep in the Philippines who doesn't know the correct billing rates and my order was accidentally cancelled. As a result I was offered a package with 3 big differences: (1) $6/mo additional for a second receiver, (2) a $8 NYS tax on installation and (3) $16/mo additional for months 13-24. This second offer would cost me a total of $272 more than my first agreement for the same setup. The explanation that the first rep didn't have the correct information just doesn't justify the additional costs. It simply isn't fair to expect a brand new customer to let DirecTV pass on internal training issues to their customers with ease. If they were willing to give me what was originally offered, I was willing to sign the 2 yr agreement as I did on 10/16. They replied with, "hey, here's a link to our sales site. Sorry."
