My Tahoe blew an engine in December and at the advice of the tow truck driver I had my Tahoe taken to G&K. I was originally quotes a price of 2k plus to rebuild the engine and told David I just couldn't afford that. He agreed to give me time to have the Tahoe removed from his property. Shortly after that David called and told me he had a used engine he could put in for 1500 dollar. I agreed and send him via his website the initial 500 dollar to get started. Shortly after Christmas David informed me I needed a new cooling system and it would cost an additional 500 dollars and in the beginning of January I sent him the 500 dollars. Towards the end of January I sent him the last 1000 dollars and was told that it would be ready. On Friday February 3rd I left Dallas with my sister to travel to Luling to pick up the Tahoe I spoke with David and he assured me that it was ready. We arrived in Luling around 4 o’clock and it was evident the Tahoe was not ready it was running very sporadically and backfiring. David asked me to wait but I had other appointments to keep I told David I would Rent a car stay in Houston for the weekend and be back Monday the 5th to pick it up he again assured me it would be ready. On Monday February 5th I contacted David at 9am and inquired as to the status of the Tahoe he assured me it was ready. At 1pm I called him and again inquired as the Tahoe and he again assured me it would be ready. At 3 o’clock as I was driving thru Luling to return the rent a car in Sequin I contacted David and he said he would have someone meet me at the rent a car office. At 5:30 I contact him and he asked me to have someone take me to a local bar and he would meet me there. At 5:54 (15 minutes before Rent a car office closed) I contacted him and expressed my concern that the rent a car office was closing and I had to be in Dallas the next day he again assured me that it was ready. At 7:45 I spoke with him again he stated that the Tahoe was ready but they need to do a few more things. At that time I decided I could no longer get strung along by David and his lies and rented a room spent the night and rented a car to return to Dallas the next day. I am currently pursuing legal action against G&K Automotive David personally and anyone else involved in what at this time I can only consider fraud.
