My wfe bought a item from a compony called thane direct of the tv channel, we paid for the item using my debit card we recieved the item a few days later and thought nothing more of it.
Over christmas and new year with all the festivities i never checked my bank balance then the first week of feb my bank statment arrived and to my horror shows card payments to all these componies i have never heard of all for very large amounts.
I am a pensioner so my only income is my pention AMORIXBILL have taken 39.99 i contacted the bank and they advised me that it is not fraud and i must contact the compony myself and raise a dispute and cancel the subscription... But i have not or would i ever subscribe to any of the services these componies offer. On the back of the terms and conditions i had from the tv purchase it states that thane direct will pass my details to third partie componies that they feel may interest me however they will not pass on my credit card details however they passed my debit card details to them and now since december i have had almost 300.00 pound taken from my account by 4 different componies who are are related! I am at a loss as to how or where i turn to get the money back please can you help
