Bought a WII game at SmartGameShopper.com. At next billing statement I had three charges from BBV*Games: $1.00, $26.46, and $19.95. Since I had bought several games in different places for the Holidays, I dismissed the unknown charges as poor memory. One month later I had another $19.95 charge from BBV*Games which I did not notice due to travel. One month later I had another $19.95 from BBV*Games. I immediately called my card security service. They conferenced me with a "customer rep" for BestBrandValues. This fellow proceeded to tell me that, when I bought the game, I agreed to a $1.00 7-day trial to a discount club subscription. After the 7-day had passed the full monthly $19.95 started. I denied ever agreeing to either a trial period or any subscription. The charges are now in dispute. Beware of the sleazy practices of SmartGamesShopper or BBV*Games or BestBrandValues. Fortunately my credit card recognized the scam for what it is!
