Consumer Report

I was first called early July and told I had won $2.5 million and a new Benz, for being a conscientious consumer who paid all his bills on time and for $100 I would receive my award. I was also informed that every dollar I spent in the course of this would be reimbursed. A few days later, I was called again to be told they had made a mistake and that I was winner of the second, not the third prize, which was $5.5 million plus a new BMW and I needed to send another $100. Now I was out $200 and concluded that was a fair trade. Over the next six months I was asked weekly to send more money to Jamaica for seemingly administrative tasks, such as having the money wired directly into my bank account, covering handling and tax fees and so on and so forth. I was told several times, beginning in December that the next fee would be the last and that I'd get my prize. It never was the last until January 25, after which Alex told me he was going to have the money wired to me the next day. He knows my house is going to be foreclosed on me in ten days unless I can pay it off before then, and that they were the primary cause of that because they'd conned me out of my mortgage payment money. The guy I dealt with called himself Alex Mendez. I must wonder at this point if even that much were true.
