LaFerney Commercial Roofing Inc
Laferney Incorporated, Refused to pay money owed to Sales Rep. And over charges for services.internet

I spoke to John Kemp on through e-mail and phone while living in Texas. I applied for a sales job with company. John Kemp is the one who emailed me back and told me they were hiring and interested. I then spoke to him several times via phone. I told him what I was looking for and he told me what Laferney was looking for. I was told I would be doing sales and repair. They would supply a company truck, phoneand business cards. I would start out at 15 an hour for all the repair I would do and on jobs I sold I would get a comission, which they only allowed me to sale repair jobs. If I had to drive a distance to work on repairs they paid me 12.00 and hour for driving.

I moved to TN with my 7 children and pregnant wife... Leaving everything I own in TX, because along with everyone in the America now days. I lost my own company a few yrs ago. And been to NC, TN, TX back to TN and originally from OH. Anyways I meet up with John and we agreed to everything, Went in filed out paper work. And Started work the following week.

And my first check was good. After being held back by a company that pays every two wks. The following checks seem to be missing money. I was shorted hours I drove, I was shorted all my comission. When I confronted Don Laferney Jr., he told me he would not talk to me alone. Why not sure. Anyways finally a week went by. It was Christmas time, my wife gave birth and they were upset that I missed the Company Christmas Party. And told me I would have to work overtime and weekends... I didnt mind but, I need paid for my labor, sales and drive time. When I spoke to Don, he told me I should have been paid a salary, that all his employees liked being paid that way. Well I said not me I know I can make more the way I was doing it. He told me that I was a trouble maker.

I decided at that point it was best for me to walk away. I told them that I was done. And I would be back to pick my check up. Well when I did I was not paid in full. I called Don Jr on his cell phone he told me it will take 3 months to get paid my comission on jobs I sold. Because the jobs were unfinished etc... Well, I sold the job and did the work there for I know that two of the jobs was done cause I did them It was a lie. We talked and Don said he would call me. Well time passed. We contacted them to let them, know we were filing leins on properties as we have copies of contracts, plus I personally spoke with the customers who went with the company.

Well I recieved in the mail a letter stating I was not getting my comission's because I waived my rights and the option for any comission due. Then tried to say I didnt sale any jobs. Then told me if I slander the company name that his Father built and that Don LaFerney JR and John Kemp are tearing down.

I was informed that my position had been filled more than 6 times in a year because they do the same to all of the ones before me as well.

There process on customers are getting as much money has they can. I would go to an estimate and then be riquired to take it back to office with all info and would charge what was expected for the job, they would hand it off and then there is a person that adds more to it, they hand it back and require us to sell for the price three times of what it would take to get it done and make an honest profit. They offer no warranty. And they have sales men that get on the roof like John Kemp who told a customer that they had a leak in an area and tarpped it off and it was not even the area. We looked at each other and you could plain as day see holes and there was nothing wrong with were we was told to do the work and we told John it was smaller and they should not be paying what they did for a repair that would have costed 600 to 800 at best. They not only rip off customers, but the people they hire.
