Complaint / Review
A Taylor Roofing
Has not paid full commission to salespeople ripoff Arlington

Three months ago after the hail storms hit the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex A taylor roofing ran ads for sales people. The promised training for inexperienced salespeople and the ability to make $100,000 a year. I talked to the owner Wiley Taylor and he verified this information. The asles manage promised us that the commission on an average size roof would be between $350.00 and $500.00 dollars.

He also said that the commission would be paid when the roof was completed. We were also told by the owners, Wiley Taylor and Rob Behn that their company had qualified people that could repair hail damage on siding, windows, etc.

It took over two weeks to get a price sheet and there wa no training. The first several estimates that I did consisted of calling the sales manager with the measurements and having him provide the estimate. I had to constantly ask questions in order to figure out how to properly estimate jobs. It took me six weeks to find out what our cost was on labor and materials.

After selling several roof jobs and having them completed I had to argue with The owner to recieve a small portion of my commission. Several weeks later I have still not been provided an accounting of what my commission was on each job. I was told that the final insurance check had to be collected in order for commissions to be paid.

A Taylor roofing is having their office people invoice the insurance company for the final depreciation check. Two weeks after several of my jobs were completed they still have not invoiced the insurance company properly. A Taylor Roofing is using the insurance estimate in order to created an invoice that matches the insurance estimate to invoice for the remainder of the money. This may be in violation of the Texas State Board of insurance if some of this work was not actually performed or if the pricing is not accurate with the original estimate.

In additon, A Taylor roofing were sending out unqualified people to try and repair window beading. Some customers are still waiting for siding and window repairs because they did not have people on hand that could do the work. On more than one occassion I heard them discussing putting on a 20 year tab instead of the 25 year tab because it was cheaper and the customer would not know the difference.

The owners have not accounted for any commssions on roofing jobs completed to this date. Rob Behn and Wiley Taylor have proven to be dishonest with customers and salespeople. The State Board of Insurance needs to investigate their invoicing practices. Customers need to avoid this company. There ar several sales people that have not been paid anywhere close to the proper amount or given any proper documentation on the jobs they did.

A Taylor roofing never had any salespeople sign an independent contractor agreement. Any salesperson that has worked for this company and has not been properly paid needs to contact the Texas Work Force Commission and file a complaint. Any customer that has a problem should contact the better business bureau. If there is an attorney that would be interested in this as a possible case contact me. I have talked to other salepeople that have had and or is having the smae problem.
