We bought our RV from an unrelated company it came with a "free" week of camping at Tres Rios. We received mulitple letters and phone calls from this company trying to get us to come "visit" their property. We finally decided to go and it was a bad decision. Ocean Canoyon properties is a company that owns several RV/timeshare like RV parks. Once you get there they use strong arm tactics to get you into a 3 to 4 hour sales pitch, what a miserable day, we tried like crazy to leave the place... Now we are fighting to get out of a "contract" that they say is for a lifetime!!! With lifetime yearly fees and an initial ~$8,000 dollar purchase. Our credit card was charged for over a $1,000 after they said they wouldn't charge it until/if we made a decision to go through with the purchase. We contacted the company and salesman that same day and every day thereafter for a week telling them we did not want it. Nothing they said seems to be truth, they said the contract wasn't binding and that we could change our minds... Not true. We are working with a lawyer and have turned them into the Attorney General. From the time this situation began with us their BBB rating has dropped from an A - to having their BBB status revoked by BBB's Board of Director's due to so many complaints and unresolved issues with customers. At this point we have had our credit rating docked monthly for non-payment (otherwise great credit). We will not pay and have not put out a single cent to them for something we did not want and we were scammed and pressured into. We have had many people contact us about the possiblity of a class action lawsuit against the company. Anybody else have any suggestions to battle this company?
