Budget gets a substantial non refundable deposit and then sells your contract, mine was sold to Schneider who has some relationship to Armstrong Moving. They insist on Cashiers Checks so you have no recourse then wanted more money and sent me to the back while they dumped my boxes into my garage. They damaged my solid wood furniture and some of my stuff is missing.
No one had any vested interest or took any responsibility for the way my move went. They were not honest about how the insurance worked and paid no damages. I paid $7,000 to have people hired at the last minute from the streets who were not professional movers, were not bonded or insured move my stuff. They did not comply with the contract but did not care and no one offered even a refund for services such as sofa and mattress wraps. I did not receive not to mention damage related to the failure to wrap items such as tears in my leather and dirty mattresses. Absolutely beyond belief - I am dedicated to making sure the public is aware of the current status of the moving scam that I believe takes place every day on interstate moves.
