Responded to a job posting on Craigslist for Kobo books call center agent andn got a a reply back from David Kelby at Clarke Careers & Partners. Since I had only submitted 1 resume, I assumed this was an HR company for Kobo. I was directed to do an online employment screening as a pre-requisite to an interview. Nothing seemed out of place and then I was asked to follow a link to a credit reporting website to verify my identity before an interview couls be scheduled. Once it was done, I felt uneasy and decide to Google it. Then I discovered that others too had maade the same mistake. A call to Kobo customer service revealed that there is no facility in my area and therefore no job offer in addition to being scammed. I cancelled my credit card immediately and was told by Visa fraud department that the $1.00 charge fr4om Experian looks legitimate. Beware!
