Signed up for Megaflix on 12/16 - they placed $1 temp hold on account to verify. Cancelled on day 12/21 on the 5th day of the free 5 day trial. Charge for 49.95 (should have been 34.95 a month had I not cancelled) placed on card on 12/26. Called bank to stop charge but told that could not until charge completes (and will be subject to any returned check charges.) Called megaflix and told that they did not see how I could be charged because they show me as cancelling on 12/21 and do not have a charge for 49.95 in their system to credit. They said that IF there really was a charge on my bank account, they would need someone from the bank to call them in order to resolve. So the scammers are trying to accuse the victim of trying to scam them — interesting twist.
