Received a letter stating re: Acceptance letter (Secret Shopper) and please call-in to activate the enclosed Payroll Check before depositing. Because of ALL the scams, I do thorough research. The number 1-289-892-4176 for Frank Nelson says that it is a non-working number, no voicemail and not automated system. The check had Citibank N.A. On it so I called that branch and provided them with the account number and they gave me the name of the company which is MediaVest, NOT SMG Performance Marketing. I then inturn found MediaVest website and called them and found out they are a legitamate company, but SMG Performance Marketing is not and I was given the name of another person in Detroit who I called and she informed me this is scam that is world-wide and they have the FBI involved in this and there is no way for them to reimburse lost/scammed funds.
