I have had a 50" Visio HD TV for about 18 months. I was watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth, " the original with James Mason, when the picture went black. There was still sound but no picture.
I see by doing a little research that this is a common problem with Vizio TVs and that Vizio now has a reputation for disastrous customer service. Replacing boards has been suggested, but really? If a product has a known manufacturer's defect, then why not pony up and replace the TV or replace the part at no cost to the consumer?
I've loved the picture on my Vizio TV. Very sharp, crisp. Great TV other than this one little, apparently unfixable glitch!
