Toyota has been installing inferior secondary air injection pumps on their Sequoias and Tundras. When the pump and assemply goes bad, the cost to repair is up to around $4000.00. I cannot see how this equipment should be so expensive to repair. This equipment is mandated by EPA and the expense for repair is a big headache for the owners of these vehicles. I finally got a machanic to do the repaired for about 3000.00 which is still too expensive. Parts are just to high; parts ran about 2400.00. Total cost for repairs will run around 3000.00. Parts had to be ordered.
