Do not bank here...
This bank has found as many ways as humanly possible to steal your money. I always had money in my account, always. However, this bank has found more ways to manipulate the figures to guarantee them selves fees. I've had money simply disappear with absolutely no explanation from US Bank. They are selling their customers personal information to third party entities such as insurance companies, travel companies, etc. When asked about it, they said that they notified their customers, and I quote, "either by letter or possibly a blurb at the top of their last statement" and we (the customers) needed to opt out of this by calling... So I opted out and thought it was finished but nope, I started getting emails, turns out, that is a separate toggle you have to have them turn off... Just like the "overdraft protection" where they let you spend more than you have "as a convenience to you" so they can rack up fees, you have to have them shut this feature off. I've found out that they (again as a convenience to you) after 6 months turn this back ON. I also learned (after changing banks) that Auto Drafts are immune to this setting, yep you guessed it, as a convenience to you. Beleive me when I say, if they are shaking your hand and saying they are doing it for you, check their other hand, it's probably full of your cash... I have banked in many different smaller banks along the way and I am now back to a smaller bank and I've never had an issue before in my life. I have either called, emailed or gone to this bank at least 50 times in the past few years to dispute something that they did wrong or money they took illegally. They'll never admit to it but will reverse all of these things if you scream loud enough. They still make a killing off of those who don't pay enough attention... Personally I am part of the major class action lawsuit against them and working on a separate civil suit against them for all of the other things they are doing. I am going to have them open up an investigation into these things that will rock their world. I am so fed up with being cheated by the big guys and watching them just get away with it... Trust me, you DO NOT want to bank here...
