Original partnership with operating a resturant in Redding ca. Called Rafters Landing. Embezzeled over 100,000.00 between William Johnson and James Cummins. I invested 200,000 and never got a penny of their land scheme. They were supposed to use a number of investors money amounting over $ 3.5 Million to develop the land into a multi complex shopping center and new resturant. They left me holding the bag for all debts and I sued them for fraud in 2009 and 2010. The judge ended up ruling in their favor which was a shock to my lawyer and myself. There was no jury trial nor a transcript of the trial. I tried to appeal but lost because of the fact there wasnt a transcript. I spent thousands on the lawsuit and still ended up owing thousands in taxes and other debts. Sad story but I also filed criminal charges that have not been resolved as of yet. I just pray that one of these days the state will see these crooks for what they are. My own fault from the get go but no reason they are getting away with putting thousands of dollars in their pockets tax free and the state and federal government has come after me instead because I have a job and they cannot locate these guys and prosecute them.
