On 2-25-04 I was called by CPI, offered 200.00 in gasoline coupons and agreed to examine the Wellnet wellness Plan, I answered no to all other questions. The next Day I called CPI to cancel the deal. Concerned that this was a scam I called CPI again in mid march to re-cancel.
On April 14 I dicovered that they had created a draft (did not use the check # I provided) and withdrew 139.00 from my account. My bank advised me to contact them directly and request a refund. Upon calling CPI, they said the charge was for a Talk Unlimited phone plan, and a check authorization form would be sent, since they could not credit my account.
After I found the usacomplaints.com site, I have learned what a fool I have been, and that the prospects of a refund are not good (zipp). After spending hours searching the web I have found First American Investments based in Pompano Beach, Florida which has the same 1800 number as Utalk, wellnet, CPI, and is linked with AM Values, American Values and Connect2.
First American (www.cnaworks.com) lists its services as providing advertising, virtual office packages, telephone answering and mail forwarding within the US and offshore. They also promise to protect thier clients identity and corporate structure. First American also lists their corporate headquarters in greece.
