Looked at their website, exact same amount as AirTran for flight between Atlantic City and Atlanta. Could have paid thru either company but happened to be on Priceline's website so I did it thru them. Very next day I was on Airtran website to ask them a question and their rates went down by 2/3 for the same flight that very next day. Called Airtran who said they cant do anything if I went thru Priceline - but had I gone thru them they'd have given me the credit for the difference toward a future flight. Emailed Priceline asking them to help me-emailed thru their website and never got confirmation that the email went thru-apparently it glitched and when I called them they said I was beyond the 24hr limit for changes and they never got email-insisted that I sent it on time but had no way to prove it. Called my credit card company who had me listed as being charged thru Airtran and they'd hold up the charge till I got it settled-called Airtran again who immediately said they cant reverse anything done thru a travelsite.
All of this put me into a no-win situation and I had to pay it-Visa could not dispute it because it wasn't technically fraudulent. I object to Priceline's rigid policies of locking people in and it was just hard luck that I didn't pay thru Airtran.
