I paid attorney Christopher Schmidgall in 9/17 to file bankruptcy concerning a garnishment that Methodist Hospital had put on my check through a collection agency. I was told by the Amber Jimenez who is the Bankruptcy Paralegal that the total price would be $2800.00.in order for us to go to court and get the garnishment stopped. I would have to pay $274.00 Filing Fees and
$200.00 prior to filing which I have paid. The attorney told me we would go to court in May. I called him at the end of June. I left a message with Amber stating send me my paperwork and I want my money back because we did not go to court. Then I got a response from attorney Schmidgall along with a letter telling me to make a appointment to sign the Bankruptcy petition July 12. The collection agency want to charge me $ 8611.43 0n a $6,244.00 bill. The purpose of me hiring the attorney was so the garnishment can stop. The collection agency have already recieved $ 3815.48from my check; therefore i want my money back from the attorney because paying him served me no purpose. I want all my money back that i have paid him or at least my filing fee of $274.00
