My sister in law, and her husband. When my Father in law was on his death bed, Brenda told him that Charlie "the son, her brother" would take care of Mother, and the Station. SHE LIED.
My husband worked there for 35 years. Brenda & Edward never did, not even so much as sweep a floor! Brenda underhandedly took control of the Mother, and the station when the Father passed away. Leaving her brother without a job, and taking control of his home also, in order to use it to get full control of the station. Their Father told everyone in the county that the station would be Charlie's after he was gone. After all, it was His Father's and His Father's before him!
Brenda and her greedy husband Edward saw to it that Charlie got nothing! They took the Father's money out of the house, and Mother said they already cashed it in, and it's gone. They also got control of the money that Charlie put into the Mother's Sister's and His name. They took it out secretly and moved it to another bank, and demanded more. They tried to get into his Charlie's safety deposit box at the bank, after he went in there with them, and emptied it, giving them all the money. They told Mother that she was out of money, and it's barely been two years. They bought a new RV "to take Mother on trips" but they leave her with her sister every time.
They took the money out of the house the day after Father died. They asked about the money in the house while the hearse was driving out of the yard with the Father's body for pete's sake. "Mr. Pete to be exact" They got the X wife of my husband "who works at a Doctors office" to say that Mother was competent to chose who she wanted to live with. SHE IS NOT, and the law say's it can't be a family Dr. But he was, for years, and still is. They went over with Charlie's Ex-wife taking everything out of the house and didn't ask Charlie if he wanted anything. They got a false appraisal on the station for $125000.00, and it's now up for sale for $300000.00. They bought a new truck, 500 acres of hunting land "supposedly leased" but built a new home on it? How do you build on leased land? They bought a new four wheeler, and a used truck, and built a huge shed for their new RV too.
I don't know what all else! The son who worked there for 35 years CHARLIE who was to inherit the station "whom he gave up his career for long ago, when father fell ill, to run for father" was cheated out of his entire life. Father's name was on Charlie's home/land because of his divorce not being final when he acquired it, and Brenda and Edward took control of it too. Put it into probate, and used it as leverage to get control of everything else that the family owned. Edward say's his NEW TRUCK that he also has is "God's truck" they are supposed to be good Christian people, but...
The sister went a while that she would not even let Charlie see his own Mother! Said he was upsetting her, "only because he would remind her she had money, or something like that: that they tried to tell her she didn't have." They told her she was out of money and needed to slow down spending.
FOR GOD'S SAKE, what can a woman who barely gets around buy? And for who? She gets enough money from her Social Security to live nicely the rest of her life in that home, and need for nothing! The Mother is too scared to say anything to them, she believes that they will kick her out of the house and she will have no place to go.
These good Christian people are the same one's that CLAIM disability for Edward, "Not very long after he got a job with Gulf Power" PERSONAL OPINION OF MANY, HE PLANNED IT. Anyway, such good Christians that they claim that he is disabled, yet he had a taxidermy business, put it in Brenda's name so as to not prevent him from getting his disability check. Yet, he secretly did all the work in the shop. He also rides horses, and four wheelers through the woods, and climbs deer stands. But: he's disabled? MY BUTT! It was said that Edward always made comments about he was going to find out where Mr. Pete "Father" hides his money one day... I guess he finally did. Edward cheated on Brenda once before too. Would be real funny if he was stealing all her family's money "like he is" and was spending it on some ole hooch out at his hunting camp. A good friend of mine saw him laying on a blanket with a hooch, "one he use to see" just month's prior to Mr. Pete's death by the way. Down at a place that she goes fishing a lot.
Brenda and Edward Lathan will go directly to hell for what they have done to the Father's wishes, the Mother since the Father's death, and to the Brother "My Husband" Charlie! The entire family supports Charlie and knows this all to be factual. Court records showing the appraisal on the station, compared to the asking price if you call the Realtor can show that to be factual also.
If the truth were known, Mother really does not have any money left because her dishonest, lying, thieving daughter and son in law have already spent it all.
