I was contacted by a rep from Mathew Lesko's grant program-out of the blue. I was told that my name was picked to receive his special, trial offer to access his site to receive help obtaining a grant for only $4.95.
I bit. The $4.95 was deducted from my account. I was assured that within 24 hours I would receive an email that contained a link to his site & the log-in info. I never received the necessary email to gain access to his site. Maybe that's how he's making all of his money! Five bucks may not seem to be much, but you add that up over thousands of people, there ya go!
I tried calling, but it's automated. I left a couple of messages, but have never received a return call, as I requested. I ended up calling & leaving a message to cancel before the 30 days. I really wanted to get a grant!
Also, As soon as I confirmed the deduction, I was transferred to some other company (Irrelevant Information Removed) offering a pro-mo deal to try free for 14 days offering all of these discounts. The best part was I would receive (2) $25 gift cards (one to a restaurant & one to wal-mart), just for joining the free trial. I was told that the gift cards "were being put in the mail as we spoke."
Well, I never received the gift cards. They deducted $25 from my account the day before the trial period ended as well. Then, I had to wait 12 days to get my money back.
