On Sept 1st., I took a uniform shirt to Screen Printing to have Disabled American Veterans embroidered across the top of the left pocket and DAV embroidered on the collars. I was told they were in the process of moving so the job would be done in a week. I agreed with that.
A week later, when I called, I was told that it would be another 2-3 days. I again agreed to wait. Later that night, I felt very strongly in my spirit that something bad had happened to my shirt. When I called a few days later, I was told it would be another week before they were done because they had a big job ahead of mine.
Twice I made it clear that I needed that shirt. A week later, my husband went to the shop and was told that they misplaced the shirt in the move and then a mistake was made in printing so it would take a few more days.
After 3 full weeks of waiting, I again called the shop and was told the shirt would be ready that day at 4pm. I replied that it was unacceptable; that we would be in Sherman at noon. The guy said that the lady would give me a call. However, we drove to the shop and my husband took the shirt back.
Although I am having someone else work on the shirt, it will have permanent holes in the fabric and look patched at best. A $15 job is now costing my $55 plus gas for 3 round trips to Sherman.
