In May I sold Fairbooks.com one my used textbooks and they quoted me a payment of $6.70. No big deal right? Well, in August I received a payment of $6.70 from Josiah Wartak. I deposited the check into my bank and it was returned for NSF and I was charges a returned check fee of $10.00, so the total now is $16.70. I called and left a message and no return phone call. I sent an email about the returned check and asked them what they intended to do about the bad check and got a reply from Taylor that they did not return emails to threats. Filed a complaint with the BBB in Greenville, SC. Had to file a worthless check complaint with the Greenville County Solicitors office 1-864-467-8647. Taylor's reply to the BBB complaint about filling a worthless check complaint was "Gosh". Beware this business is a scam and they act very unprofessional. If they had just made good on the bad check instead of playing games, it would have never come to these measures. I am writing this complaint for the better good of consumers and hope it will help other people not to make the same mistake I made using Fairbooks.com. If someone else has been taken by Fairbooks.com, than I hope this complaint helps you with information to receive money that may be owed to you also.
