Today in my inbox I found an email from Priceline.com saying the company had located a ticket to Santa Barbara for $253.00. My very elderly parents live there and I wanted to surprise them with a holiday visit. The search for a ticket from December 25-31 from Minneapolis to Santa Barabra seemed successful and the found itinery allowed me to get in and out of SB at reasonable times—neither too early or late. I signed off on the necessary form to make the purcahse—after seeing the itinery and satisfied that the ticket was for Santa Barbara and the times worked for travel.
However, the Priceline confirmation email was different from the flight itinery purchased. My destination had changed from Santa Barbara to LA and the arrival and departure times absolutely undesireable.

I was stone walled in repeated phone calls to Priceline Customer Service, was told by United Airlines (the carrier) to contact Priceline direcstly they had nothing to do with Priceline's practices, tallked with a resolution group called On call International that can do nothing about the situation, to the flight insurance provider who says this is not their problem.
