Snap sms alerts
Consumer Report

I am being scammed by snap sms alerts. They are billing at&t $9.99.70 tax each month since January for a service that their customer service people at 800 364 0035 tells me has not been launched yet. I did not authorize this subscription. Customer service tell me that the charges will be credited to my phone bill. I am hopeful that it happens. I understand that in order for me to have subscribed to this service I would have had to supply my cell number, my email address, and receive a pin from them through email and confirm with the pin that I am in fact subscribing to this service. This never happened and yet they were able to bill at&t for the service I never applied for. When I complained to At&t they cancelled the subscription and gave me credit for approximately 45 days. Customer service for snap sms alerts said they would credit the rest since the service has not yet been launched. Strange how they could bill me for a service that has not yet been launched. Furthermore I had previously asked At&t wireless to disable my ability to send or receive text messages so why would I knowingly signup for a service to receive alerts via text messages??? If I get my money back I would be very happy. My concern is that I may not be the only person scammed in this way via fine print or however they achieved being able to get money from me through At&t on my cell phone bill. Thank you.
