In July I ordered Furniture Fix online. I intended to order one set for $14.99 plus $7.49 P&H, but when I submitted the order and saw the total for the first time, the final screen showed 2 sets ordered and my credit card had been charged $61.78! I called immediately to cancel one order, but was told I couldn't after the order had been placed and to just send one set back. I asked about return shipping, and the person with whom I spoke said that would be my responsibility but offered to credit my account $5 to "help" cover return shipping.
When I received the order, the strips were too deep for my chair, so I immediately returned everything. After 2 months, when I still had not received a refund, I called customer service. I was told that my refund had been placed "on hold" because of the $5 credit.in other words, had I not called, I would never have received any refund. Worse yet, I'm still going to receive only $24.95. So, if the refund promised does come through, I'll be getting $29.95 back on an order costing me $61.78. This company should not be able to promise money back.
Additionally, the online ordering should be changed so that customers can review what they are ordering and the total before they have to submit the order. If not, this company and its products should be removed!
