I needed a visrus protection type software and Windows live directed me to a page of suggested free and trialware of various types. I chose to give stopzilla a try fomthe moment I dl'd and installed it I found it to be a mistake. 1st off it was allegedly a free-trial that wouldnot remove any thing it planted or found unless you paid 9.95 for a 1 year rental of their extortion-ware then they charged my acct 39.95 instead of the 9.95 I agreed to so it set my account up for $140 in over draft fees when I had my account figured to the penny and could have afforded the fraudulent 9.95 as well. I uninstalled the crapware the sameday I got it. Tried 4 times to contact a customer service rep (alive one not some viral virtual chat. Which, btw is what the robodialer suggested I do while I waited on line 35 to 50 minutes all 4 times. I did use their chat told them my concerns and they said A rep would e-mail me to address these (2 days later) The way they addressed my issues was to send me a working link to their extortion ware twice. Then some one named Ben allegedly representing the company posts here on scambook about his wonderful product and how I misunderstood their terms and that there was some kind of rebate etc. But only after I contacted card center disputes (Visa) Then I got an e-mail saying the money would be returned to my account and they were sorry to lose me as a customer. Toolittle too late. Stopzilla is dragging their feet on this.
