To whom this may concern.
This is in regards Shoe Carnival Northern Ohio Division. Tom Gimper Regional Manager. It is my experience that Mr. Gimper enjoys playing with peoples lives. He puts his employees up against another, and then he sits back and watches. I am not referring to healthy competition. How can this be conducive to good business?
Mr. Gimper had told me privately on more than one occasion. You may be taking Scotts place. (My supervisor} He has told me to trust him many times. He in fact has totally betrayed store #256.
It is my opinion he deserves and no trust, no respect. I worked for Shoe Carnival for only one year, in that time I witnessed one S.M. Humiliated by into quitting after being demoted.
I witnessed another S. M {store manager} humiliated into quitting because Tom totally ignored him. I witnessed a G.M. (general Manager} leave the company and I quote It is because of respect, Tom has no respect for me.
In my year with Shoe Carnival a total of seven members of management came and went, SEVEN! I wonder how many managers in total, failed under Mr. Gimper's leadership. When a conflict happens in his store he always meets with the party's concerned privately. He then tells each one a different story. He tells his staff lies only to cause more conflict instead of resolving issues, he fuels the fire.
In my 20 plus years of retail management I have never seen anything so contradictory to good business. This is a warning to new management applicants to Shoe Carnival beware. I passed up great opportunities to take a position with this company; I left a job that I was very successful at because I believed in their lies,
Because no one warned me. Shoe Carnival is opening new stores all over the United States beware!!!
