Affiliate company of Citizen's Bank WorldPay Sued In Pennsylvania Court After Scam Caught On Tape Avoiding Paying Merchant For Sales & Charging Customers 3-4 Times for One Sale

WorldPay (also known as RBS WorldPay) Credit Card Processors was Sued in a Pennsylvania Court in July after WorldPay Scam was Caught On Tape. The Lawsuit alleges that WorldPay Consciously Avoided paying a merchant for nearly 15 days for multiple sales transactions, all the while continued unauthorized processing and/or over-charging the merchant's customers credit cards up to 3 - 4 times for a single sale.

WorldPay Representatives was Caught On Tape conciously avoiding paying merchant when numerous WorldPay representatives (2 of which sent emails to merchant after they processed customers credit cards) were unable to provide a legitimate reason after giving more than 8 different excuses, and continued processing the merchant's customers credit cards multiple times while knowing they were not authorized to do so. Representatives were also caught deliberately lying to the merchant as to why WorldPay was over-processing single sale transactions at the merchant's customers expense, according to WorldPay representatives calling it a "zipcode error".

Although the merchant was not being paid for the sales, WorldPay continued unauthorized processing to the customer's credit cards multiple times for a single sale transaction. WorldPay is also accused of refusing to cancel merchant's contract timely and/or when requested within less than 15 days of account opening.

WorldPay then begin charging the merchant fees ranging from $35 - $155 for services stated in WorldPay agreement are $9.99 per month.in addition, worldPay provided false information to a collection agency to get them to collect on what seems very likely to be unlawful charges against the merchant.

It appears WorldPay is attempting to rack up fraudulent charges against the merchant to present on the August court date to keep from having no defense. The lawsuit also alleges that WorldPay US, Inc. Breached their contract, and was in breach of fiduciary duties by failing to perform lawful credit card processing and timely payments which caused the merchant damages, loss of business, and loss of sales.
